Lady Whittle was born in San Diego, California on March 7th 1955. She is the fourth oldest daughter of William Sevier and the oldest daughter of her mother Laura Harrison-Sevier. Lady Whittle is the Mother and Stepmother to 8 grown children that she and Pastor share as well as 32 grandchildren and 2 beautiful greatgrand daughters. Lady Whittle received part of her early childhood education in Bristow Oklahoma and after the death of her mother at the tender age of 8 years, old her father moved the family to California where, she and her sisters continued their education in the West Fresno School District. Lady Whittle attended Washington Union High School and from there went on to attend Fresno City College where she attended the Police Academy for 8 months she wanted to become a Police Officer but God in His Awesome Wisdom knew better for her.
Lady Whittle joined the Mt Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Fresno, in Ca in 1981 at the age of 26 Under the leadership of now deceased Pastor W.C. Ellis. While at Mt Pleasant Lady Whittle served as the Beginners, Primary and Intermediate Sunday School Teacher for 9 years; she served as 2nd Vice President of the Deaconess for 3 years and served 3 years on the Pastors' Aid committee. Lady Whittle served as Recording Secretary for the Young Adult Ministry and the Senior Choir for 5 years, she served as the Head Cook and on the Kitchen Staff for 4 years. During this period of time Lady Whittle lead many to Christ through her witnessing and prayer; for those that know her, they will tell you she loves to pray for people, all people all the time.
It was in 1999 that Lady Whittle started her Ministry here at the First Baptist Church, after Wedding Pastor Whittle on July 28, 1999. Lady Whittle started The Ministers and Deacons Wives Ministry, Women and Matron Auxillary, Sister to Sister Fellowship, The Young Adult Ministry and Childrens' Church she continues to work within the Ministries that God gives her to work.Lady Whittle is always reminding the members her main job is to "LOVE AND MINISTER TO OUR PASTOR" of which we know she does deeply.
After she and Pastor moved to Los Banos she furthered her education at Merced College here in Los Banos, St John Theological Seminary in Modesto California. From there she went on to teach Career Planning for Jobs for California Graduates over the next 2- 1/2 years at the Los Banos High School.
Lady Whittle also taught the Noon Day Bible Study on Wednesdays until she started working full time. Now, Lady Whittle teaches the Beginners and Primary aged children in Sunday School; she teaches Children Church for ages 5-14; she teaches the Women's Bible Study on Monday Nights. Lady Whittle is an Anointed Woman of God and a gifted Speaker of the Word and through that Speaking Ministry she has shared the Word of God churches from Seaside to Fresno, Madera, Bakersfield and of course here in Los Banos on many occasions.
